The best pizza in the area! I suggest to sit on the terrace, enjoy the breeze and the beautiful view. They have a wide selection of pizzas, and other meals such as salads, pasta, and risotto. The pizzas are fairly big, we took the small size (see photo). There are also a couple of parking spots just by the terrace. If you don't manage to find a parking spot there, you can find it nearby.

Loved it, immediately got a table for 4, although most of the tables had reservations on them or were already full. Ordered pizzas which were amazing, nice bubbly crust, good quality toppings and good amount aswell. We sat outside which was very nice. Staff were quick and professional without being pushy. Kids also enjoyed the pizzas, especially the nutella pizza for dessert. Price was good for the quality of the experience.

Good Pizzeria located in town of Kastav. The restaurant offers many different pizza's in there different sizes. The prices are good. There are many tables outside. The view is perfect. The service could be a bit better. Nevertheless, I strongly recommend to go there. There are parking places nearby.

The best place to have a cheap meal in the are. Delicious, fresh pasta, rich salads and thick pizza with lots of toppings. Service is really quick. Outdoor seating is nice and has many tables so it’s not a problem to find a seat even without a reservation.

The name already sets the mood, at least for the pizza side of things. We’re in Rijeka... well, technically just outside it, less than an hour from Italy by car - but tradition and culture here have always taken a very different road. I grew up not too far from this place, and the pizza I remember from those days tastes exactly like it does here. Probably due to the topping cheese - more fermented tang than Italian mozzarella creaminess - and maybe the (lower and longer) cooking temperature. I’m not here to start a "which is better" debate; they’re simply different species in the pizza family tree. Case in point: my last order. A saucy, messy, deeply satisfying creation that I’ve never once seen in Italy - but is quite common in the US. They call it by its Americanized name: Bolognese pizza - essentially the ragù, cheese, fresh onions over a pita or pizza base. Yes, meat sauce on a pizza. If you want to truly understand this region, start here - with a fork in one hand and a beer (hydration purposes, obviously) in the other. The setting is absolutely worth the trip. Perched high on a windy hill, it’s a penthouse view of Rijeka’s coast on one side and the mighty Istrian mountains on the other. The breeze will try to steal your napkin; the food will keep your soul warm while your skin thanks you for bringing a jacket. One final consideration: prices. Somehow, despite being "almost Italy", they’re higher than some actual Italian pizzerias across the border - but still comfortably lower than what a German or Austrian restaurant would charge for the same thing. And if you're considering the very affordable beer price (or multiple), than price wise comparation to Italy wins.
